For the Readers Among Us:

What began as a covid lockdown internet collaboration between long time friends and musicians in Tampa, FL, quickly evolved into something much more when the group quietly released its first batch of songs onto Bandcamp.

With the title, “Someday Is Coming” the band pays tribute to Hope and Love and Family with music that is emotive and thoughtfully arranged.  It was recorded in the kitchens and bedroom studios of musicians Alexa Toro, Dani Jaye, Jerrod Simpson, Tucker Sody, and Vinny Svoboda.

After its quiet release, local venue managers, talent agents, and fans of the band’s members from their many other projects in Tampa over the years, took notice and began to reach out to them asking when and where they would be performing the new music live.

Much to their surprise, the band was offered a chance to play at one of Tampa’s most popular musical gatherings: the Gasparilla Music Festival, which happened to be their first public performance after almost 2 years of collaborating entirely online.  The crowd reaction at GMF was intense with some audience members being moved to tears by the powerful lyrics and harmonies that anchor the band’s music.

At that point, this group of friends knew that they had to put some energy into this project to see where it could go, and so the story of Light the Wire began.
